In short: Quiz Cutter works on your device. The PDFs and images you open, the questions you crop and the tests you create are processed and stored locally on your phone or tablet and are never uploaded to us. We do not require an account, we do not show ads, and we do not use analytics or tracking tools. The only third party that receives app-related data is our subscription provider, RevenueCat, when you buy or restore a subscription.

This Privacy Policy applies to the mobile application Quiz Cutter - PDF Test Maker (the "App"), developed and published by FFAutomaton ("FFAutomaton", "we", "us", "our"). It explains what information the App handles, why, and what choices you have. It applies to the App as distributed on Google Play (package name com.soyante.testmaker) and on the Apple App Store.

1. Files and content you use in the App

When you import a PDF or an image (using the system document picker or your photo library), the App reads that file on your device to show pages, let you crop questions and generate a new PDF test. These files, the cropped questions, your saved sessions and the generated PDFs are stored only in the App's private storage on your device. We do not receive, upload, view or store them on any server.

You can share a generated PDF using your device's share sheet. When you do, the file is sent only to the app or person you choose.

Deleting a session in the App or uninstalling the App removes this data from your device.

2. Device permissions

Photos / media library: only to let you pick images you want to turn into questions. The App accesses only the items you select.
Files (document picker): only to open the PDF you choose.
Billing (Android): required by Google Play to offer in-app subscriptions.

The App does not use your camera, microphone, location or contacts.

3. Subscriptions and purchases

Premium features are offered as auto-renewing subscriptions. Payments are processed entirely by Google Play or the Apple App Store. We never see or store your payment card details.

To manage subscriptions we use RevenueCat. When the App starts, and when you purchase or restore a subscription, RevenueCat receives:

A random, anonymous app user ID generated by RevenueCat (not linked to your name or email)
Purchase information from Google Play / App Store (product, purchase token, transaction dates, subscription status)
Basic technical data needed to deliver the service, such as device model, OS version, app version, locale, country/storefront and IP address

This data is used only to unlock premium features, restore purchases on your devices and prevent fraud. It is not used for advertising.

4. Other network requests

PDF rendering library: to display PDF pages the App loads the open-source PDF.js library from the cdnjs content delivery network (Cloudflare). As with any web request, Cloudflare can see your IP address. Your PDF itself is not sent.
Update check: the App may check the public Google Play / App Store listing to tell you when a newer version is available. This request contains only the App's identifier.

We do not sell your data, we do not share it for advertising, and we do not use it to track you across other apps or websites. Data sent over the network is encrypted in transit (HTTPS).

6. Data retention and deletion

Content you create in the App is kept on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App. We do not hold a copy. Subscription records are kept by RevenueCat and the app stores as long as necessary to provide the subscription and meet legal and tax obligations. You can cancel your subscription at any time in Google Play or App Store settings, and you can ask us to request deletion of your RevenueCat data by contacting us (see below).

7. Children's privacy

The App is a productivity tool for students, teachers and parents. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children. It contains no ads, no social features and no account creation. Purchases are handled by Google Play / App Store and are subject to their parental controls.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU/UK or KVKK in Türkiye) you may have the right to access, correct, delete or object to the processing of your personal data. Because we do not store your content, most data can be controlled directly on your device. For subscription-related data, contact us and we will help.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page, with the date at the top.
